Each summer brings a wealth of exciting things. Tanner skin, beach trips, pool relaxation and a number of occasions where it’s appropriate to stuff your face with hot dogs and burgers (I know what goes into a hotdog Sarah, stop trying to ruin my life). Each summer also brings new summer trends, beyond the obvious staples of cut-offs and sunglasses, and this summer is coming in hot with some trends I can really get behind.Today we are talking those trends and how to get them into your wardrobe round up STAT.

STATEMENT EARRINGS

While in summer’s past we were wearing tassels on necklaces, bags, shorts, etc. this summer is all about the tassels on your earrings. I can NOT get enough of statement earrings this summer, they can really punch up an outfit and just generally make you feel like that red dress dancing girl emoji in real life. Put them with basics, put them with your favorite summer dress, just PUT THEM ON. I’m very partial to Baublebar when it comes to statement earrings, they are GREAT quality, they have so much variety, and if you sign up for their email list you can generally get a discount.

BLUE & WHITE STRIPES

Blue and white stripes have been everywhere this summer, and they are quickly becoming a 2017 summer classic. The styles of them have been more interesting this summer than in the past (not just your simple striped tee) and I’m totally loving the variety you can find featuring this trend. With 4th of July just around the corner, it’s the perfect trend to wear.

GOLD CHOKERS

I feel like this trend snuck up on me, no one is really talking about it but yet all the IT fashion girls are definitely wearing it. These delicate necklaces are more subtle than they sound, more of an everyday piece that subtly adds some interest, and I dig it. They can be layered or worn alone and go with lots, so they are definitely a trend I’ll be wearing this summer.

ONE-PIECE SWIMSUITS

One piece swimsuits started to make a come back a few years ago but this summer they seem to be at their all time peak. What was once a suit for those who wanted to cover up, it’s now just a MUST HAVE in your summer line-up, a fun style that is flattering for all and can double as a top when worn with your favorite cut off shorts. I have been stocking up on one pieces lately and really love having them to choose for the beach, especially on days when I’m just not feeling the skimpy bikinis and still want to look good for the hubs.
